In 2007, the College of the Arts implemented a scholarship fund in the name of professor Robert Sherer for Gay, Lesbian, Bisexual and Transgender students in the visual arts, theatre, music and dance. The scholarship is in response to Sherer witnessing talented GLBT students being disowned by their families, thus preventing them from completing their education and realizing their dreams.
Sherer now annually donates sales of his artworks toward endowing the scholarship. The artworks in this web gallery are available for sale and 100% of the proceeds from the sale will go toward the scholarship fund. In order to fully endow the scholarship we must raise at least $20,000. Once the fund reaches that level, scholarships will be awarded every year from that point on.
Please support the fund by purchasing one of Robert Sherer’s artworks or by making a tax-deductible gift of any size. To discuss a gift, call Cheryl Anderson Brown at 770-499-3214 or email@example.com. Please support the Robert Sherer GLBT Scholarship Fund.
